(GWANGJU=Yonhap News) The Photonics Korea 2015, the largest photonics expo in Korea, will be held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, October 7-9.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and Gwangju City and organized by the Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development (KAPID), the Photonics Korea 2015 provides trends of the foreign markets and information on the new technologies of not only the photonics industry but also convergence industry.

Large-scale Korean companies including the Korea Electric Power Corporation and LG Innotek and 200 buyers from 27 countries will participate in the expo to carry out consulting meetings.

Around 370 domestic and foreign participants will establish booths to conduct extensive PR activities.

Special booths for companies in Germany, Denmark, Japan and China will be set up to meet with buyers at home and abroad.

KAPID expects the Photonics Korea 2015 will be a venue to seek the vision of the future photonics convergence technology and to lead the global convergence era.
