Large-scale Exhibition for Machinery, Materials, and Robot to Open in Daegu

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) The 2016 Daegu International Machinery Industry Expo (DAPARO) will take place for four days from November 23, 2016 at the Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center.




In the comprehensive exhibition for the machinery, parts and materials, and robots industry, a total of 365 companies will run 907 display booths.

The event has been held since 2012 after integrating three exhibitions: the Daegu International Automation Equipment Show (DAMEX); International Parts and Materials Industry Show (Parts Show); and Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition (ROBEX).

Export consultation meetings with corporate buyers of 40 companies from 8 countries will be held between November 23 to 24. On the third day of the event, business meetings with 6 conglomerates and 10 mid-sized enterprises are scheduled.

The 17th DAMEX will be held in exhibition halls classified by types of businesses: factory automation, machine tools and equipment, tools, control measuring and inspection equipment, and logistics machinery. 172 companies will operate 517 booths.

In the Parts Show, 119 companies will showcase machines, automotive components, electric and electronic parts, metals, chemical materials, ceramics and 3D printers in 190 booths.

74 companies will install 200 booths to display home automation system, educational and service robots, entertainment and industrial robots in the 5th ROBEX.

Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin said, "More domestic and foreign buyers will participate in exports and purchase consultation meetings than last year. We hope local companies have practical opportunities for networking and sales promotion."
