Major facility: Semiconductor clean room (manufacturing facilities), business incubator and business support center

- Construction of Daegu’s magnetic-sensor-chip foundry as the city's social infrastructure in order to develop home-grown advanced magnetic sensor chips and address uncertainties when promising ideas are commercialized
- An improvement in processing and analyzing equipment and infrastructure used for advanced semiconductors
Construction of a Magnetic Sensor Chip Cluster (2022-2026)
Project Overview: Advancing DGIST’s micro magnetic sensor foundry in order to localize magnetic sensor technologies, attract micro magnetoresistance sensor manufacturers and set a foundation for related venture businesses
Project Cost: KRW 30 billion (KRW 20 billion in state funding , KRW 10 billion in local government funding)

- Construction of fabrication lines and advancement of manufacture platforms that will support development of pre-prototypes of magnetic sensor chips and evaluation for product performance
- Advancement of utilities, safety equipment and monitoring system in order to ensure a reliable infrastructure of nanochip fabrication plants
