(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu City will hold a meeting with businesses moving into the National Industrial Complex to facilitate its operation.
The city invited 28 representatives of companies planning to move into the first district of the National Industrial Complex to brief them on business support measures such as factory construction and registration as well as local tax reduction.
Daegu will also ask the participants to cooperate for facilitation of construction work and gather ideas and suggestions on the operation of the national complex.
The first district of the National Industrial Complex is built on the 5,921,000 square meters of land in Dalseong County, Deagu City. Around 97% of lots have been sold and 111 tenant companies are planning start construction this year.
Nine companies including KB Wiper Systems, a joint venture between Germany's Bosch and Korea's Kyung Chang Industrial, already broke ground last year.
The city plans to build the second district of the industrial complex by 2020 on the land adjacent to the first district.
"We will regularly hold meetings with prospective tenant companies until the National Industrial Complex goes into full operation," a provincial official said.
