Daegu Held Water Industry Investment Seminar in Japan's Nagoya

(DAEGU=Newsis News) Daegu City has hosted an investment seminar in Nagoya, Japan to introduce the city's investment environment and incentives and to promote its national water industry cluster.

The seminar was held in cooperation with the Nagoya's Chubu Forum, an association of local businesses in the water industry, and a research institute which participated in the 7th Daegu-North Gyeongsang World Water Forum 2015.

At the event, Daegu emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two cities in building a Korean-type water industry cluster, and encouraged Japanese water companies to enter into the Korean market. The city also introduced its water industry cluster, which is expected to grow as the center of the domestic economy and one of future growth engines of Korea.

Local companies and organizations based in Nagoya showed great interest in Korea's water industry and related businesses, according to the city.

After the investment seminar, officials from Daegu visited Aichi Tokei Denki, 100-year-old Japanese manufacturer of measurement devices and sensors, and Horiba, Japan's leading manufacturer of precision instruments for measurement to discuss possible cooperation and investment opportunities in the advanced water industry.

To come up with ideas for sludge treatment in the national water industry cluster, they also visited a sludge recycling center in Nagoya and learned about the city's water industry policies.
