(DAEGU=Newsis News) A tourism development project will begin in Dalseong-gun, Daegu City, utilizing the historical and cultural resources of Hwawon Amusement Park and Dodong Seowon Confucian Academy.

According to the City Feb. 2, the project is now set to be carried out in earnest as the Project to Build a Nakdong Riverside Pathway, propelled as past of the three Cultural Area Projects, has passed last Nov. central investment evaluations carried out by the Interior Ministry, and an action plan has been finalized this January.

This project will be carried out in the separate areas of the Hwawon Historical Revival Zone and the Dodong Confucian History Zone. A total of KRW 43.7bn will be injected into the national and public site of 230,000m² to create by 2020 exhibition venues, a theme park, a recreation of ancient beacon mounds and other places to experience the past.

When KRW 5.3bn is secured from the national budget through final negotiations with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, The City plans to find a subcontractor to design the Hwawon Zone during the first half of this year.
