DAEGU < invest Korea

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) The City of Daegu announced Mar. 9 it was selected as the site for the 14th ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human Robot Interaction.

The annual event, co-hosted by the U.S. Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), offers a global opportunity to share research accomplishments on human-robot collaboration and robot education.

Sponsored by Google, Disney Research, MIT Press, ABB, Honda, and Toyota, the conference is expected to create synergy with Daegu's new growth industries of smart machinery and future vehicles.

The city expects the event will serve as a catalyst for the development of the local economy, as human-robot interaction covers a wide range of industries, including education, entertainment, healthcare, cultural and home services, and social safety.
