Daegu Sees Increase in Trade with FTA Partner Countries, Such as Chile, New Zealand

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Last year, the cit of Daegu witnessed a slight increase in its volume of exports to and imports from FTA partner countries.

According to the Daegu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) on April 3, the city's export and import performance for FTA partner countries grew by 3 percent from last year, reaching KRW 8.24 billion.

While exports remained at a similar level to 2016, imports rose by 8 percent, expanding the entire trade volume.

The FTA partner country that showed the greatest growth in trade was Chile (72.8%), followed by New Zealand (18.3%), Australia (17.2%) and Singapore (14.9%).
