(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu City and the Korea Brain Research Institute (KBRI) will be holding the 2017 Pre-IBRO International Week event from October 17 to 27.
As a preliminary event to the 10th International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) World Congress slated to be held in Daegu in September 2019, the ten-day gathering will help promote Korea's outstanding infrastructure and content, as well as strengthen its connection to the global community.
An international neuroethics meeting will take place on the first two days, where world leaders in the field discuss brain projects of different countries and neuroscience and technology ethics guidelines.
From October 18 to 27, the Asia-Pacific International Student Education Program will be held for the second time since 2015, inviting 20 master's and doctoral level students to attend lectures by eminent scholars in the field.
According to a Daegu City source, the city plans on building its network with neuroscientists from around the world in preparation for the 10th IBRO World Congress.
