(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu International Airport will being providing automated passport control services on January 12 for the convenience of its uses.
According to Daegu Metropolitan City of January 11, a total of four automated passport control kiosks were installed at the airport's departure and arrival gates.
Korean nationals of ages 19 an older who are registered as residents, only need their passports may use the kiosks, and those of ages between 7 and 18 years will be eligible after going through a preliminary registration process.
Foreigners over the age of 17 living in Korea may also use the servie upon preliminary registration.
The automated passport control kiosks allows user to complete the process in average 12 seconds, without having to face an immigration officer, and using only the user's passport and bio data (fingerprints, face).
