(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu-based companies had a chance to meet with some 1,000 potential global buyers at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest information technology exposition held annually in Las Vegas.
According to the city on January 15, about 40 promising local companies participated at the Joint Daegu Pavilion installed at CES 2018 for 4 days starting January 9.
At the pavilion, participating companies met with some 1,000 potential buyers and signed contracts worth a total of USD 3.51 million.
Many of the companies agreed to supply products and carry out joint development projects, raising expectations for future progress.
At this year's event, 30 members of the city's First 4th Industrial Revolution Experience Group visited the venue, where they were able to see the latest IT trends first hand, and participate in meetings with mentors.
