According to Yonhap News,

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu City and the province of Friesland, the Netherlands will hold a workshop for cooperation within the water industry.

For 2 days starting on April 4, the city and Dyetech Research Institute's Water Industry Support Center will share exemplary policies with officials from Friesland.

Friesland has been successful in fostering small but strong enterprises through its "water campers," a program that is similar to Daegu's National Water Industry Cluster.

Last September at the 2017 World Water Cities Forum, Friesland agreed to work in cooperation with Daegu city for the development of the Water Industry Cluster and other international exchange and cooperation projects.

During this year's workshop, experts from industry and academia will draw up an action plan and a common development plan. They will also hold separate meetings for the different categories in discussion - the government (G2G), companies (B2B) and universities and research institutes (K2K).

Daegu City's Ministry of Economic Affairs Kim Yeon-chang stated, "We believe the action plan that will result from the meetings will serve to upgrade Daegu's water industry."
