On April 14, ultra-sensitive medical diagnostic equipment manufacturer Medisensor (CEO Jung Jae-an) took part in the China International Medicinal Equipment Fair (CMEF) held in Shanghai and singed a contract worth USD 200,000 with Iraqi medical device distributor to supply its flagship product, blood glucose meter.

Medisensor CEO Jung Jae-an stated, "After our first export in November last year, our measurement accuracy has been confirmed," and added, "it is more price competitive than existing Japanese products and we are undergoing additional contracts."

Daegu City's pre-startup Finemedix (CEO: Jeon Seong-woo) also singed export contracts worth USD 200,000 with 4 different buyers for its Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA).

It was a green light for Daegu's medical equipment companies entering the Chinese market.

According to Daegu Technopark, between April 11 and 14, 6 medical equipment companies took part in consultations and signed export contracts worth USD 430,000.

According to Daegu Technopark (Daegu TP), from April 11 to 14, six medical device companies participated in a total of 359 consultations to discuss contracts worth USD 13.76 million and signed export contracts worth USD 430,000 for medical equipment.

Daegu TP Regional Industrial Development Director Bae Sun-hak stated, "The Chinese medical device market has the steepest growth in the world. We will work with Daegu's medical equipment companies towards tangible results in the Chinese market."
