On May 2, Korea Appraisal Board (KAB) and Daegu Metropolitan City signed an MOU to improve the urban environment and create various projects utilizing vacant houses through the maintenance of vacant houses in the area.
KAB Urban Regeneration Support Division Director Lee Jae-woo met with Daegu Metropolitan City Revitalization Director Kim Gwang-cheol and signed the "MOU to establish a vacant home information system and activate the maintenance of empty homes."
On April 10, KAB opened an "autonomous home maintenance business integrated support center" and is currently looking for a leading model for vacant home maintenance.
Both KAB and Daegu City are actively searching for cases in the UK and Japan to benchmark, and are looking for ways to increase the participation of social economic entities such as social cooperatives and village enterprises in the vacant house maintenance projects.
