More Chinese Tourists Visit Daegue After Removal of Ban on Group Tour to S.Korea

(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Chinese tourists are coming back to Daegu after Chinese government lifting ban on group tours to Korea.

Daegu City said on October 1 that 300 members of All-China Sports Association will visit Daegu for 3 days to participate in the Korea-China Sports for All Event.

They will also take a tour around the region including Dongseong-ro, Donghwasa Temple and Keimyung University.

In the mid-October, 200 members of the China Trekking Association will enjoy hiking and trekking on the Biseulsan Mountain with silver grass.

At the end of this month, 300 future soccer players from Henan will visit Daegu. They will be participating in the youth soccer training program of Daegu FC and have a friendly match with the Daegu FC youth club team.

Moreover, 20 groups of students with a total of 2,200 from Jiansu and Zhejiang will come to Daegu as school trips.

"We will develop various kinds of tourism contents to raise the re-visit rate of the Chinese tourists," said Han Man-su, Director General of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the City.
