Daegu and Gyeongbuk medical device industry given positive signal for Middle East markets

According to Yonhap News,

(DAEGU=Yonhap News)Medical device companies located in Daegu, Gyeongbuk laid a foundation to enter Middle East markets.

According to Daegu TechnoPark (Daege TP) on February 11, eleven companies participated at the 44th ARAB Health 2019, held during January 28-31, had export consultation of 559 cases worth USD 15 million.

They signed USD 99,000 export contracts on site, and concluded six MOUs.

Medisensor signed on a contract to export a blood glucose monitoring system (Care U SMART) for three years, worth USD 740,000 to an Egypt's medical device part supplier.

Inthetech, providing IT-based contents and U-health system "EYAS" that helps preventing attention degradation, and recovery training, signed on four MOUs with healthcare companies from Egypt, Kuwait, etc.

Deagu TP president said "with the Middle East medical markets growing, these achievements are expected to facilitate Korean companies' entry to the markets".
