(DAEGU=Yonhap News) INNOPOLIS Daegu of INNOPOLIS FOUNDATION announced on February 18 that it plans to put in KRW 9.2 billion this year to proceed with projects aimed at developing INNOPOLIS Daegu.
In doing so, it expects to facilitate technology startups, bolster technology financing, and expand cooperation with local innovation-related organizations, while contributing to generating jobs and national innovative growth.
It will provide KRW 2 billion in identifying and connecting public technologies focused on future vehicle, KRW 6 billion in commercializing R&D results - covering establishment of research companies in conjunction with local innovation organizations and support for them, and KRW 1.2 billion in supporting networking and enterprise growth in other specialized fields.
In particular, it will collaborate with Daegu Bank in establishing a Daegu Satrup Campus to offer a one-stop support, such as startups moving-in and mentoring, striving to revitalize the ecosystem of enterprises.
It will aslo bolster networking with local venture capitals and companies, while concentrating on stimulating technology financing through Angel Club (private investors group) in Daegu, Gyeongbuk region.
INNOPOLIS Daegu will have a seminar to brief this project on February 20, addressing project plan, rules on business expenses usage of Research and Business Development (R&BD)
