Daegu city will begin National Industrial Complex 2nd-step land development project in Guji-myeon, Dalseong-gun this year.
Daegu city said on March 11 that it completed construction of 1st step National Industrial Complex by 2016, and has been working on making the 2nd step area with the target of completing work by 2021.
The city plans to achieve land development rate of 40% for 2nd step National Industrial Complex within the first half of this year, and 60% by the year-end.
Meanwhile, 162 companies in the future vehicles, water industry, advanced machinery, renewable energy sectors have signed contracts to move into the 1st step area.
As of now, 60 companies moved into the 1st-step area.
The size of Daegu National Industrial Complex, designated in 2019, is 8.549 sq. meters in total, combining 5.92 sq. meters of the 1st step and 2.629 sq.meters of the 2nd step. Of them, industrial facilities occupy 5.002 sq. meters.
When the 2nd step area is completed in 2021, the industrial complex will be developed as a cluster of not only high-tech industries but also the root industry.
Korea Land&Housing Corporation (LH) and Daegu Urban Corporation jointly led the 1st step, and LH unilaterally has been leading the 2nd step. Total business expense amounts to KRW 1.6542 trillion.
