The Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) held "Korean robot company IR and export consultation session" in China to support exports.
According to the KIRIA on May 27, it co-hosted the event with KOTRA in Shen Zhen, Guangzhou. 20 Korean robot and automation companies participated and contacted with 90 Chinese robot manufacturers and agents and investors.
During the export consultation session, Korean companies had about 150 consultation with local companies having demand for Korea's robot automation products, including Apple iPhone assembler Foxconn.
During IR, seven companies such as Mintrobot, Smartecinc, and SEJINiGB peached to local investors on their products including factory automation and speed reducer.
A KIRIA official said, "We had an export consultation in Shen Zhen, so-called Silicon Valley of China, and confirmed demand for Korean robots," adding that "To ensure consultation leads to tangible results, we will invite genuine buyers to Korea and provide follow-up supports."
The KIRIA plans to hold another round of export consultation in Nanking, China next month, and in Thaniland in September.
