(DAEGU=Yonhap News) On September 15, Daegu City announced that it enacted a regulation to operate a new technology platform system in an orderly and stable way.

The city enacted regulations, in the form of instruction, on the operation of new technology platform, a service that supports stimulation of technologies on open channel by gathering new technologies owned by private companies.

The regulation contains establishment and operation of expert group for introduction and facilitation of new technologies, review on registration of new technology platform to remove market barrier, review on utilization of new technologies to select technologies in a fair and transparent way, and support for the test-bed to encourage technology development and early market entry.

The city introduced the new technology platform system in consideration of the reality where companies with new technologies unable to promote their technologies due to absence of promotion channels or enter market.

This system was selected as the best practice of active administrative execution, and bench-marked by other local governments.
