(DAEGU=Yonhap News) On September 23, Daegu City announced that it hosted a Medicity Daegu medical tourism promotion session in Far East of Russia and Western China.

The City said that 17-member promotion group consisted of medical staff from Dongsan Hospital, Daegu Catholic hospital, Daegu Wooridul Hospital, and those from Daegu Medical Tourism Promotion Agency offered a clinic day, medical consultation, and Daegu medical tourism promotion session on September 16-24.

They offered a session to explain medical tourism products to local companies and tourism agencies in Vladivostok, Russia, and exchanged opinions on review of overseas patients sending organizations capable of claiming international medical insurance at a Russia's insurance company.

They also participated in Khabarovsk International Fair (Khab Exp) held in Khabarovsk city on September 19-21 to promote Daegu's medical tourism and B2B between medical tourism products companies, and B2C.

Also, a trade delegation for China's western market visited Xian, Guiyang, Chengdu, and Guangzhou on September 19-25 to promote opening of medical tourism promotion center and hold a seminar for promotion. They agreed to cooperate on opening new direct route between Daegu-Guiyang and medical tourism using medical big data.
