(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu International Future Auto Expo 2019, a special venue to display future vehicles and to roll out the latest technologies will be held from Oct 17 for 4 days at EXCO (Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center).

The expo, which marks the 3rd anniversary this year since its initiation, will have around 271 exhibitors from 27 countries, inviting them into a variety of events: forum/ trade fair/ attendee experience. Over a thousand exhibition stands to show CBS(completely built units), auto parts, machine parts or equipment combining multiple engineering technologies have already been put up, waiting for the opening of the show with this year's theme of 'Meet our future, make innovation', the city said.

VIPs of the event Hyundai / KIA Motors, Renault Samsung, Tesla show up this time. Hyundai introduces the green energy technology they're developing, so called 'Hydrogen E- House',while giving a brief demonstration of how its hydrogen fuel cell car 'NEXO' filters out fine particle matters running on the road.

KIA Motors shows its AI-based new Real Time Emotion Adaptive Driving technology (simply real time emotion recognition technology) already been unveiled at CES in Las Vegas early this year.

Renault Samsung release its model TWIZY, debuted as a concept car, compact sized EV. Tesla puts Model 3 and SUV Model X, recently launced on show.

Auto parts manufacturers Hyndai Mobis, LG, Samsung SDI, KT will show EV batteries, connected car service and a main exhibition center where their products, junior engineering class and future car trends can be seen at a glance.

Other eye-catching exhibitions are waiting for visitors. KIA Motor's LEAD system, Hyundai Mobis' cencept cars, LG's self-driving technology based concept vehicles, an unmanned shuttle bus with no steering wheel, mini-electric cars, personal transportation vehicles and lots of e-mobility tecnology would be introduced at the show.

With 78 future car specialists from 8 different countries who are joining 25 sessions, the vice president of Hyundai Motor Group, Park Dong-il,US Silicon Valley self-drining startup AUTO X CEO, Jianxiong Xiao will come up to the stage as keynote speakers of the expo. Specilaists' forum to discuss autonomous/ green car technology will be open, along with a trade fair for 61 businesses overseas in which visitors can join buyers meeting with personnel in charge from German auto maker Volkswagen, Mecedes Benz and GM.

The city mayor Kwon Young-Jin says what makes the expo so unique and special is that this is the very place where visitors can be part of the path toward the future of ever-changing auto industry by fully experiencing the latest technologies that come together at the show.
