According to Yonhap News,
(DAEGU=Yonhap News) Daegu city's Suseong Medical District, the 3rd largest data analyzing institution, coming right next to Seoul and Gyeonggi, will open a big data center, providing free access to services from consulting to data analysis for residents living there. On Oct 14, the center will have the opening ceremony inviting more than a hundred city officials and the vice president of Daegyeong ICT Industry Association at the district.
Daegu city and Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency signed an MOU last March to reach consensus for the establishment and management of the data center whose service coverage extends from data collection, infrastructure for data analysis, a fact finding study and new business planning with help from the sub-committee that consists of data specialists.
The city says the center has seasoned personnel 24/7, providing consulting service and runs multiple programs hosting lectures to the public.
