DAEGU < invest Korea

A venue for year-end performance review was prepared, featuring private & institutional bodies running water business nationwide.

The city of Daegu ran an evaluation briefing session on Dec 6 to share major achievements and homework to be done at the presence of 60 invitees, the representatives of water businesses in Korea, local authorities, the environment ministry and specialists, who’re the founder of Daegu Water Business Forum which was initiated last August under a shared goal to further advance technology, to embrace an ecosystem favorable for water business, to open up market channels and finally to train human resources.

Members have discussed the ways to maintain sustainable development and sought to ensure how to well manage National Water Cluster and Korea Research Institute of Water Technology Certification at the forum.

This year-end briefing session suggested technology trends to meet the global norms in water industry, how to revitalize industrial ecosystem for water businesses in Daegu, strategies to make the establishment modernized, marketing tactics to go abroad and ways to build up commercial or research center based upon the water cluster.

“Taking advisors' guidelines and tips fully into consideration, Daegu city will make an all-out effort to help water businesses create more jobs and tap deeper into overseas markets.”, said city mayor Kwon Young-jin.
