The city of Daegu announced on Dec. 30, 2019 that they’ve secured national budget allocation of KRW 355.4 billion, which will be paid out to lay foundation for further advancing conventional industries that the city has long paid attention to. This year, in particular, the number of newly registered business fields to be financed has soared from four (KRW 1 billion) in 2019 to 15 in 2020 (KRW 36 billion).
Business specifically, KRW 183.9 billion will go to a construction work to facilitate local industrial clusters, KRW 90 billion for 5G network base robotic, machine engineering and KRW 41.6 billion for fiber industry which includes dust collecting filter to make air quality clean.
A city official said “We’ll spare no effort to lead to convergence where each different conventional industries are closely intertwined, getting fully ready for the upcoming the fourth industrial revolution.”
