Startups and SMEs Agency in Daegu, Gyoengbuk office announced on Feb. 14 that the local authorities gives a KRW 8.3 billion subsidy to help local SMEs and small manufacturers be more competitive. They will provide a package of supportive measures, ranging from business analysis, biz- consulting, technical support to marketing in the form of voucher service worth up to KRW 50 million.
The cash grants will be given by total sales volume-i.e., 50 percent to those whose annual income reach to KRW 5~12 billion, 70 percent to KRW 1~5 billion, 80 percent to KRW 30 million~1 billion and 90 percent to under KRW 300 million. Daegu office, in particular, focuses primarily on automotive, bio-healthcare, high-tech materials, textile, smart machine and future batteries.
