Daegu city to early implement an aid package for local businesses
The city of Daegu and Daegu TechnoPark announced on Apr. 1 an early implementation of an aid package to small hidden champions in local community, as a way to counteract coronavirus-led economic crisis which has swept through the city. The local authorities will let the biz-support measures to promote entrepreneurship be enforced starting from this month, two months ahead of the schedule. The service period for the program also extends to 14 months from 12 months in hopes of helping small businesses stay afloat amid the crisis. The potential candidates to join the program are known as 89 small but very promising local businesses and 122 others.
Putting members’ business sites under quarantine, the city government and Technopark will unveil COVID-19 relief package customized to each demand, along with workplace grievance resolutions. In addition, they’ll also run a year round city programs which include a biz-coaching session, HR vocational training and marketing & advertising assistance.
