The four designees are Korea Wine, ShinShin precision machines, Melowpotery and Dongwoo CNT. They’ll be funded up to KRW50 million each by the end of this year, which will be used for smart technology adoption. The Smart Atelier project aims to help local entrepreneurs running small business with less than 10 employees adopt smart, digital technologies as innovative solutions to further improve product quality and output, while switching manufacturing process from handicraft production into smart work.

An official of SME Agency said “Digital transformation is not an option any longer, it became a must to remain competent. We’ll make an all-out effort to help the technology a new industry norm.”
