Daegu city to host a medical trade fair, replaced by this year’s MEDI EXPO 2020
The city of Daegu said on Oct 7 the launch of a medical trade fair to be held both on and offline from Oct 20, replaced by this year’s MEDI EXPO 2020, supposed to be held last month but canceled to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The two day event holds a partnering session opening a venue where businesses in medical industry or hospitals meet with potential buyers worldwide.
The city government selects 30 potential candidates based in Daegu, Gyeongbuk districts, while inviting 50 global business partners from China, Vietnam and the Middle East to join the virtual meeting.
Displaying sample products and PR materials on each booth, participants on site will install web-cam and screens to be connected with global buyers. There will be a set of meeting rooms in China and Vietnam. A special business meeting session offline is also scheduled to be held with a limited number of guests who earned prior permission to take part in.
After repeated delays due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the schedule for this year’s MEDI EXPO 2020 has totally canceled after the second wave hit the capital city of Korea a few weeks ago.
