Daegu city to recruit 80 trainees to join Daegu Innovation Academy

The city of Daegu announced a plan to recruit apprentices and trainees to join the third semesters of Daegu Innovation Academy, a city-led project to foster local talents who’ll take the leadership role in the development of future growth industries. They curriculum consists of four sectors, ranging from robotic engineering, future cars, medical technologies and services to telecommunications and recruit 80 students in total.

Anyone interested in the program can visit the official website www.hustar.org and sign up from Jan 4-17, 2021. Applicants must be college graduates, showing acceptable proof of Daegu city or Gyeongbuk Province residency.

The screening process is scheduled to come to an end on Feb 10, next year and the semester starts on Mar 2.

Trainees are allowed to take part in apprenticeship programs, equivalent to master’s degree level on a scholarship worth KRW 1 million per month. For those who complete the entire courses, authorities issue a certificate, an official letter of endorsement.
