The city of Daegu hosted an ‘Industry Convergence and Business Networking Day’ on Apr 7.
In a bid to match members of the city-devised networking platform (www.conetwork.or.kr), designed to help businesses form cross-sector collaborative partnerships to develop technological breakthroughs, the city prepared the event.
At the presence of 244 business- institutional representatives, the event participants have joined 552 cases of business meetings expediting technological-business partnerships at 60 booths on-site. Despite the lingering impact from the coronavirus, the city government have successfully hosted both offline-based and virtual business networking events three times since last year, and has helped 129 attendees close 193 trade deals.
Daegu city has also provided cash grants, equivalent, in value, to KRW 238 million in total for eight business projects, assessed to be commercially the best possible.
