Korea’s largest fashion fabrics and garments trade show “Preview in Daegu 2021 (PID)” opens on April 20 online, a pre-event that takes place ahead of the scheduled onsite show.
Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industries Association (DGTIA) unveiled its pre-market platform on the official website as part of efforts to improve exhibition programs designed to further facilitate online business transactions of PID exhibition sessions. This year’s onsite show will he held on May 12-14 at EXCO in Daegu city.
This year, in particular, the city government shifted the pre-event format of the trade show from offline to online to make the event open to global buyers having difficulties in taking part in the exhibition from 20 countries.
These visitors can browse and enjoy virtual showroom, which also serves as a marketplace as well in which video ads, showcasing and even consulting services are all available prior to the kickoff of the onsite show in May.
The city and EXCO will also open a web-based digital consulting services as a means to marketing channel showing products manufactured by participants in Korea.
To celebrate this year’s event, HYOSUNG TNC, Youngone, Sungan Synthetis Co.,Ltd, YoungDo Velvet, Onechang Material and 170 textile businesses, small and large, and 24 global vendors from Taiwan, China, India and Switzerland are reported to visit Daegu city.
As part of remedies to overcome drawbacks of online fairs where buyers cannot visibly see and touch the products on display, the city prepared to help participants see free samples for product demonstration, doing 3D virtual tour during the exhibitions.
