According to Newsis,

Suseong-gu and Gyeongsan-si in Daegu signed an MOU to pursue cooperative projects on June 2.

In February this year, the two sides laid basic plan for economic cooperation in industry, economy, culture&tourism, and SOC, and signed an MOU to effectively pursue the tasks laid out in that basic plan (tentative).

The two identified following cooperative projects ▲ job creation and youth-related policies ▲ exchanges in education and culture ▲ mutual utilization of crematorium, health, welfare, and sports infrastructure ▲ cooperation in the consumption of agricultural products.

After the MOU signing, they will actively implement cooperative projects.

A leader of Suseong-gu said "We will change paradigm of local governance to provide administrative services focusing on residents' life," adding that "we will open new future vision as representative cities in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and lay the foundation for co-prosperity."

Meanwhile, a leader of Gyeongsan-si said "Under the circumstances where local governance is threatened and superior local competitiveness is required, this MOU is very meaningful."
