The 2nd World Cultural Industry Forum (WCIF) is to be held at Hotel Suseong and Suseong Artpia on July 1.
It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism (MCST), Daegu Metropolitan City, and Suseong-gu, and supervised by the Korea Cultural Industry Forum and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.
The theme of the 2021 WCIF is "The Convergence of Culture and Technology," and aims to prospect the changes in the global music and entertainment industry, and seeks stronger partnerships among content creators, producers and distributors.
Its program will include keynote speeches and special panel discussion of figures from five countries including US, China and Japan.
In Session 1, three keynote speeches will be delivered under the topic of "changes in the music and entertainment industry after the COVID-19" by executive producer Lee Sooman of SM entertainment, chairman Mark Burnett of MGM group, and Hollywood producer Teddy zee.
In session 2, CJ ENM's managing director Kim Sangyeop and the president Huyu of iFLYTEK(the biggest voice recognition AI company of all Asia) will adress keynote speeches under the theme of "Business opportunities following the convergence of 4th industrial revolution and culture".
In session 3, AESPA will give special performance to show the new concert culture enabled by the convergence of the real and virtual world.
This event will be streamed live through WCIF youtube channel with Korean-English simultaneous interpretation provided.
