According to Yonhap News,

Daegu-city and Daegu TechnoPark announced on July 8 that they selected 15 star enterprises with huge growth potential.

A star enterprise fostering project is to foster global hidden champions by providing professional consultant and R&D planning support.

Five companies including Mechasolution, Ngelgames, Winitech, Ieetu, and Korea Alpha System have been selected in ICT convergence field, which includes AI and mobile game.

In the intelligent machine field covering semiconductor equipment and unmanned automation equipment, five companies including Are-tech, Gubi-tech, TCL have been selected.

Also, the materials/technical textile field, and electric/electronics/food field each selected star companies.

The star enterprises showed an average sales of KRW 17 billion, with 58 employees on average. Over three years, star enterprises have registered growth in overall areas, including an average annual sales growth of 15 percent, exports growth of 35.3 percent, and employment growth of 12.3 percent.

The vice mayor of Daegu city said, "We will provide every support to help companies become a cornerstone in vitalizing regional economy."
