Daegu-si has attracted 39 companies of new future industries for 3 years.

The city announced on July 13 that it has attracted 16 enterprises to the National Water Industry Cluster, 3 to Technopolis, 2 each to Suseong Medical District and Medical R&D Special District, 1 to the High-tech Medical Complex, and 15 to other regions including national industrial complex.

The total amount of investment reached KRW 1.196 trillion, creating 8,337 jobs.

The enterprises are from new industries such as water, medical, energy, and future vehicles, among others.

L&F, a key material company for secondary battery, has committed to invest KRW 250 billion in building factory, while Erae AMS signed an investment MOA to relocate its factory from Chungbuk and expand future vehicle business.

It also has attracted 4 companies related with the water industry. Some of them even moved their headquarters from the capital area to Daegu.

Daegu-si has expanded support for investing companies by raising investment subsidy ceiling from KRW 1 billion to KRW 5 billion, etc.

The mayor of Daegu said, "we will create an industry ecosystem that can attract promising companies of the future industries."
