A demonstration support center that verifies the performance of parts of future vehicles including electric vehicles will be established in Daegu.

Daegu-si announced on September 8 that it will hold a groundbreaking ceremony of the demonstration support center for the future vehicle driving and electronic parts at the Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute in the Seongseo Industrial Complex in Dalseo-gu on September 27.

Driving electric parts are related to driving devices and electric devices in vehicles such as motors, power converters, and controllers.

The city plans to complete the construction of demonstration support center (a total floor area of 1,618 square meters) in March next year. KRW 15.79 billion, including KRW 8 billion of national funding will be invested.

In addition, the center is planned to host six types of equipment, including an actual vehicle dynamic performance test system, an intelligent prediction system, and a real road durability simulator, by the end of 2022.

The demonstration support center will carry out verification of performance by prototype and durability test.
