Hyundai Kefico is to participate in the demonstration project to foster the personal mobility industry (PM industry) in Daegu-si, start building an e-mobility ecosystem.

Hyundai Kefico said on October 22 that Daegu-si and Daegu PM industry promotion project council signed an MOU on October 21. The council is initiated to promote cooperation to foster the PM industry and create a service-type mobility industry ecosystem.

It also plans to promote the excellency of eco-friendly K-mobility by expanding distribution of high-quality, high-performance electric motorcycles through strategic partnership and breaking away from the industry structure of parts industry led by cheap parts made in China.

In particular, it is planned to establish a solution with safety and reliability certified in Daegu, and expand global business by setting up standardized global operation and certification standards.

First, a demonstration of battery exchange service for delivery service businesses in Daegu will go ahead starting from November. Within this year, it is planned to install 100 electric motorcycle and battery exchangers in Daegu-si.

Hyundai Kefico provides the recently launched high-performing electric motorcycle control solution ‘MOBILGO 7’ and IoT-based vehicle management and control service ‘MOLDA’. It also provides IoT solution equipped with modem, Bluetooth, and GPS, maximizing user convenience.
