According to Yonhap News,

From January next year, it will be possible to experience autonomous vehicle pilot transport in the Technopolis area of Dalseong-gun, Daegu.

Technopolis, along with Daegu Suseong Alpha City and Daegu National Industrial Complex, was designated as a pilot driving zone for autonomous vehicles.

The city of Daegu announced on December 15 that it would start demonstration of a paid transportation service using self-driving cars in Technopolis, a complex industrial district.

Daegu plans to start a transportation service with a shuttle-type self-driving car in Suseong Alpha City within the first half of next year.

The autonomous vehicle transportation service is operated by passengers calling the service using a mobile app. The operating hours are from 10 am to 5 pm. The charge is about KRW 3,000 per time.

For safe operation, the manager boards the vehicle and switches it manually in the child protection area and danger area.
