The '2022 Daegu Machinery Expo,' which shows the technologies and trends of three fields of machinery, components, and robotics industry in one place, is to be held from Nov. 15 to 18.

On Nov. 18, Daegu-si said this year's exhibition would accommodate 830 booths of 330 companies, which is the biggest scale outside of the metropolitan area. Also, the event will provide things to see, including service robots, industrial robots, and machine tools.

In Particular, this year, it is expected that overseas buyers' export consultations and purchase consultations of large and leading companies are switched from online to offline, having twice as many overseas companies participating as the previous year. Therefore, a substantial event in scale and content is also anticipated.

Commemorating its 23rd anniversary, the Daegu Automatic Machinery Exhibition will open with four special halls, which are a smart manufacturing and factory hall; a machine tools hall; an eco-friendly equipment hall; and advanced tools hall, involving a total of 394 booths of 126 enterprises.

On the other hand, Daegu Technopark set up a joint hall composed of 19 companies with significant performance in the Daegu-based materials support project so that the city can support the marketing of local material companies.

Moreover, the Daegu Robot Expo will be attended by top global companies in industrial robots, autonomous driving robots, and robot SI.

Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo said, "this event was held by combining robots, automation devices, and components and materials," adding, "we hope it will serve as a new business forum for local firms and play the role of priming water in terms of Daegu's prosperity for the next 50 years."
