The Office of Education in Daegu will conduct a safety inspection of educational facilities in winter 2022 for all educational facilities to secure the safety of school members and minimize damage to the facilities in the event of a disaster.

According to Education Office on Dec. 9, the safety inspection includes a safety inspection team of facility managers, private experts, technical officials, and students. According to the results, emergency measures such as repair will be carried out.

The primary inspection includes ▲ leak conditions inside and outside the building ▲ condition of building structural defects ▲ condition of various electrical and mechanical equipment ▲ abnormalities in firefighting facilities ▲ defects in retaining walls and steep slopes ▲ inspection of construction sites, etc.

Kang Eun-hee, superintendent of the Education Office, said, "We will spare no effort in preventing damage to the facilities and people in the event of natural disasters."
