Daegu-si announced on Jan. 31 that it had renewed the citizen safety insurance coverage by adding three new types.
In that sense, citizens and registered foreigners with residency in Daegu will be able to get up to KRW 25 million in insurance benefits for 14 types of insurance accidents, including the existing 11 types, without a separate process starting from Feb. 1.
The added coverage includes deaths or disabilities from gas injuries and dog bite treatment fees from visiting ER.
By the end of 2022, it was reported that 129 citizens had received citizen safety insurance benefits worth KRW 1.196 billion over the past four years.
