According to Yonhap News,
The Chimsan Industrial Area in Buk-gu, Daegu, where small and medium-sized companies are concentrated, will be recreated as a basis for producing robot parts.
Daegu-si announced on August 1 that it will invest a total of KRW 8 billion, including KRW 4 billion in national funds, by 2024.
It was the result of being selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as a project to create a smart robot innovation district.
The city will gradually promote the establishment of a robot-specific smart manufacturing platform that companies can share, collaboration projects with anchor companies (leading companies), and the supply of eco-friendly equipment.
More than 1,060 small manufacturing and processing companies are concentrated in the Chimsan Industrial Area, which was established in 1968.
