Doosan Enerbility, an affiliate of Doosan Group, will build a recycling (recycling) plant for key materials of secondary battery at the Daegu National Industrial Complex.
To this end, Daegu-si and Doosan Enerbility signed an investment agreement on August 16.
Doosan Enerbility will build a recycling plant on a 32,342㎡ (about 9,780 pyeong) site in the second stage of the Daegu National Industrial Complex in Dalseong-gun. Doosan aims to commence construction in April next year and complete it in September 2025.
For this project, the company established its subsidiary named Doosan Recycling Solution.
This plant is reportedly planning to introduce the latest smart factory system.
CEO of Doosan Enerbility said, "We will contribute to revitalizing the secondary battery industry by quickly applying lithium recovery technology of Doosan Recycling Solution" while Daegu's mayor said "We will provide support to ensure success of Doosan's investment in new business."
