According to Yonhap News,

The "K-Food Expo 2023" will kick off at EXCO on September 6, initiated to help local food-related companies explore domestic and foreign markets and share rapidly changing trends and information of the global food industry.

According to the Daegu Metropolitan Government on September 4, 223 food-related companies will participate in the four-day event, which is to be held under the slogan "EAT (connect) Food"

The venue consists of agricultural, fishery, livestock, forestry products hall, and local specialties hall, processed foods/materials/additives hall, health functions and organic food hall, cafes and dessert hall, liquor and beverage hall, food machinery and equipment hall, and business establishment and franchise hall, etc.

The city has expanded the number of buyers participating in export consultations by 15% from a year ago, attracted 31 companies from 16 countries, and extened the consultation schedule from one day to two days, considering the difficulties that small and medium-sized food companies are faced in expanding overseas markets.

In particular, eight member companies belonging to the "Korean Food Importers Association in Asia Pacific (KOFIA),"will be invited to provide a consultation related to exploration of Southeast Asia and halal markets.
