Daegu Machinery Expo 2023 to kick off on Nov 14

The Daegu Machinery Expo 2023, a specialized exhibition that gives a glimpse of technology trends of the machinery, parts, and robot industry, will be held at EXCO in Daegu on November 14-17.

The Daegu Metropolitan Government said on November 12 that 311 companies from 12 countries at home and abroad will participate with 847 booths to showcase factory automation, machine tools, and industrial and service robots.

The Machinery Exhibition is divided into Daegu Automatic Machinery Expo, Daegu Materials, Parts & Components Expo, and Daegu Robot Expo.

The Daegu Automatic Machinery Expo consists of smart factories and factory automation hall, machine mechanics hall, high-tech tools and processing hall, and promising Buk-gu SMEs' hall, where 156 companies present various technologies.

Samik THK displays intelligent factory logistics system products; Korea OSG and TaeguTec introduce cutting tools, and Daesung Hiteck introduces CNC automatic shelf system.

The Daegu Materials, Parts & Components Expo, where 90 companies participate, will show automobile parts processing technology and products and technologies in the fields of metals and chemical materials.

The Daegu Robot Expo, where 65 companies participate, is a place where the current status and future development direction of the latest robot technologies, encompassing industrial robots, and serving and patrol robots based on autonomous driving.

On November 14, overseas buyer business partnering will be held, organized by KOTRA, followed by one-on-one purchase consultation between the procurement manager of large and medium-sized companies and local participating companies on November 16.

In addition, the Daegu Global Robot Business Forum will be held online/offline on November 14-16, attended by about 750 people involved in the robot industry from home and abroad.

Daegu Mayor said, "Daegu is emerging as the capital of the Korean robot industry, with the preliminary feasibility study of the national robot test field passing this year and attracting investment from promising companies such as Bear Robotics and STS Rbotech," adding, "We hope this expo will generate new business opportunities for local companies."
