According to Yonhap News,
On January 23, Daegu-si announced that it will receive applications from companies to participate in the scale-up (growth) support project for startups.
It is a project to support funding for R&D.
Companies eligible for the project are startups in the five fields that Daegu-si has identified as five new future industries, including ABB (artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain), robots, semiconductors, future mobility, and healthcare.
The city will select 8 startups this year, and provide up to KRW 100 million in R&D funding for each company.
The companies who want to participate can refer to the website of Daegu Techno Park or Daegu Startup Hub.
An official from Daegu-si said, "this is the only project among local governments that supports R&D of startups".
