DAEGU < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

In July, the trade balance in Daegu and Gyeongbuk recorded a surplus of USD 2.24 billion.

According to the July import and export status data by Daegu Regional Customs Office on August 16, Daegu and Gyeongbuk recorded exports of USD 4.15 billion and imports of USD 1.91 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 2.24 billion.

Compared to the same month last year, exports rose 5.7 percent, imports fell 17.1 percent, leading to a 38.9 percent increase in the trade surplus.

In the case of Daegu, exports recorded USD 720 million and imports USD 450 million, with the trade balance surplus of USD 270 million.

Exports of electrical and electronic products (up 24.1 percent) and machinery and precision equipment (up 24 percent) showed strong performance.
