According to Newsis,

[Daegu = Newsis] Reporter Jeong Chang-oh – Daegu Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that it achieved USD 14.22 million in export consultations and USD 4.62 million (approx. KRW 6.7 billion) in local contracts for regional companies while operating the Daegu Joint Pavilion at the AEEDC Dubai 2026 (UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition).

As part of the "Regional Medical Device Total Marketing Support Project," Daegu City and the Daegu Technopark operated the joint pavilion to support the global expansion of local businesses.

Eight dental companies from the region participated in the exhibition to target the Middle Eastern, African, and European markets:
- Denstar Co., Ltd.
- Garnet Dentech Co., Ltd.
- Medipia Co., Ltd.
- Yes Biotech Co., Ltd.
- E-pros Co., Ltd.
- Corident
- Highness Co., Ltd.
- Korea Dental Solution Co., Ltd.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, AEEDC Dubai is the largest dental exhibition in the Middle East and the second-largest in the world. This year's event featured 4,316 companies from 60 countries, with a total of 180 Korean companies participating, including the eight from the Daegu Joint Pavilion.

The participating companies signed numerous contracts through active consultations and received high praise from global buyers for their product quality and market competitiveness, raising expectations for future export market diversification.

The achievements confirmed during this exhibition once again proved that Daegu is a core hub for South Korea's dental medical device industry.

Based on the global competitiveness of local companies, Daegu City plans to create an advanced research ecosystem—combining industry, academia, research institutes, and hospitals—by continuing its push to host the National Institute of Dental Medicine in Daegu.

If the institute is established, it is expected to accelerate R&D capabilities and global market dominance, serving as a key driver for the sustainable growth of the Korean dental industry.

A representative from Daegu City stated, "The superior technology of our local companies is the greatest strength Daegu possesses as a leading city in the dental industry. We will continue to build infrastructure, such as the National Institute of Dental Medicine, to ensure our local companies can lead the global market and maintain stable export growth."
