According to Yonhap News,

(Daegu=Yonhap News) Kim Yong-min = Daegu Main Customs announced on the 28th that it will designate and operate a three-week "Special Support Period for Import/Export Cargo Clearance" from the 2nd to the 18th of next month.

During this period, the customs office will maintain a 24-hour clearance system. It also plans to allow applications for "temporary office openings" (export declarations outside business hours)—which were previously permitted only during working hours—to be made at all times, including public holidays and at night.

Additionally, requests to extend the shipping period for export cargo will be approved immediately.

Furthermore, considering the funding needs of export companies, a two-week "Special Support Period for Customs Duty Refunds" will be operated from the 2nd to the 13th of next month.

Processing hours for customs refunds will also be extended by two hours (from 6 PM to 8 PM) to provide swift refund services.

In principle, customs refunds will be paid on the day the decision is made. To ensure prompt payment, the office plans to issue the refund first and conduct the review after the holiday.

An official from the Main Customs office stated, "We will establish a systematic communication network with those engaged in clearance operations, such as customs brokers and bonded transportation companies, to immediately resolve any difficulties that arise."
